            What is digital citizenship?  

                                      

Digital citizenship, in its complexity, is defined as, “the quality of habits, actions, and consumption patterns that impact the ecology of digital content and communities.” In simpler terms, digital citizenship is, “the self-monitored habits that sustain and improve the digital communities you enjoy or depend on.”

What is "good" digital citizenship?

There are eight rules to keep in mind when practicing good digital citizenship, they are as follows: think before you post, protect your private information, follow the school's acceptable use guidelines, stand up to cyberbullying, give proper credit when using other people's work, communicate effectively, use digital tools to talk with people-- not about them, and remember that anything posted online is permanent.
